Clevedon Town Council is seeking a Responsible Financial Officer to join their dedicated team.
Hours: Part-time, 54 hours per month plus overtime when required
Salary: SCP Salary Scale 25 -28 £35,235 and £37,938 (FTE). The actual salary paid will be dependent on experience.
A Local Government Pension Scheme will be offered.
This vital role ensures the effective management of the Council’s financial functions, including budget preparation, financial reporting, and compliance with financial regulations. You’ll work closely with the Town Clerk and guide Councillors on financial strategy and governance.
This is a home-working position however regular attendance at the Town Council offices will be required.
The successful candidate will either be an experienced Town or Parish Council Responsible Financial Officer or will have accountancy or bookkeeping experience and be prepared to learn the law and procedures concerning Local Government finance. Training will be provided.
